Say goodbye to: lost collagen, laxity, loss of volume, fine lines, wrinkles
A revolutionary collagen stimulator that helps to repair the underlying structure of the skin.
What is it? Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen—the most common protein in the body that is used to form a framework to support cells and tissue—for results that can last up to two years.
As a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator, Sculptra helps restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin to diminish facial wrinkles.
Sculptra works with your body within the deep dermis to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume.
As the Sculptra PLLA microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production.
Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.
Sculptra may stimulate collagen growth which helps to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds over time.

Why we recommend it
Sculptra doesn’t just fill out the hollows of the face; it also can have quite an effect on the skin. As we age, we not only lose tissue and fat under the skin, but we also lose collagen. This is what keeps our skin healthy and tight on our face. Sculptra stimulates new collagen growth, smoothing out the skin above and getting rid of fine lines and wrinkles.
Treatable Areas & Concerns:
Sculptra is used to correct shallow to deep wrinkles and folds on the face. Administered with the appropriate injection technique from a trained specialist, Sculptra is clinically approved for:
- Deep folds between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), also called “smile lines”
- Lines framing the mouth (marionette lines)
- Chin wrinkles
Initially FDA approved for the face, Sculptra works well on other areas of the body as well.
Other applications include:
- Butt enhancement and lifting
- Saggy underarm skin
- Wrinkly skin above the knee
- Crepey skin of the decollette

- Sculptra works to gradually replace lost collagen and will take multiple treatment sessions.
- For best results, it is recommended you follow the full treatment plan discussed with your treatment provider.
Sculptra is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments administered by a trained specialist. Your provider will inject treatment into the appropriate dermal plane where strands of collagen support your skin’s structure. Over time, Sculptra helps the body reproduce lost collagen.
The number of injection appointments and the number of injections per appointment vary from person to person, depending on how much collagen has been lost. On average, three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months
The most common side effects after initial treatment include injection site swelling, tenderness, redness, pain, bruising, bleeding, itching and lumps. Other side effects may include small lumps under the skin that are sometimes noticeable when pressing on the treated area. Larger lumps, some with delayed onset with or without inflammation or skin discoloration, have also been reported.
Sculptra is designed to give you noticeable results that emerge gradually and can last up to two years.* Don’t be disappointed if you don’t see immediate results. A few days after treatment, you may look as you did before treatment. This is normal and temporary. The Sculptra regimen delivers its full effects with an average of three treatment sessions over the course of a few months. Because results happen gradually, you’ll see subtle, yet noticeable, results in the reduction of facial wrinkles and folds by comparing images before treatment and a couple months following treatment.†
If there are no complications, you may apply makeup several hours after treatment. Be sure to consult your doctor after treatment.
