Dr. Somi Javaid, MD, FACOG
Founder HerMD
Dr. Somi Javaid is a board-certified OB/GYN, leading women’s sexual health thought leader, and menopause advocate. She is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of HerMD, a team on a mission to make women’s healthcare exceptional by educating, advocating for, and empowering patients to take control of their health concerns.
Dr. Javaid was most recently named one of Inc. Female Founders 250 honorees and has been featured in Forbes, Vogue, Well+Good, InStyle, Parents, Refinery29, Mashable, Adweek, and Popsugar. In August 2020 Dr. Javaid spoke about Gender Bias and the Female Sexual Health Revolution on the TEDx mainstage, and in January 2021 she was featured in Women on Topp for her work as a trailblazer and pioneer in women’s sexual health.

Karen Gehrig
Director, Employee Benefits Ferring Pharmaceuticals
Karen Gehrig is a benefits professional with over 25 years of experience in corporate employee benefits. Her experience spans multiple industries including manufacturing, consumer goods and consulting. With nearly 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry she currently acts as the Benefits Director for US operations at Ferring Pharmaceuticals.
As part of the Total Rewards team, she takes a truly collaborative approach to designing and continually evolving benefit plans to meet the needs of a diverse workforce, aligning programs to support unique needs in competitive talent markets. Specializing in benefit strategy, program development and plan design, she’s led numerous efforts to transform programs and drive strategy, creating alignment with business needs and supporting employees and their families.
Karen received her Bachelor’s degree in management from Dominican University in Orangeburg, NY graduating first in her class and received the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. She also holds certificates in several benefit specialties and has appeared as a panelist for industry events sponsored by Mercer and the Northeast Business Group on Health. In her spare time Karen enjoys music, motorcycling and creative pursuits.
Callie Exas, MPH, MS, RDN
Women’s Health Nutrition & Fitness Expert
Callie is a licensed registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in women’s health and wellbeing. In addition to her MS in clinical nutrition, she holds a masters of public health from NYU and has over 10 years of experience supporting women as they move through the different seasons of their lives from fertility to pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.
In her work, Callie’s mission is to empower women by taking a deeper dive into the biological, physiological, and psychological components of her client’s nutrition and self care practices. Health and wellbeing is nuanced. It all begins by taking an individualized, multifaceted approach to address the root cause of symptom manifestations. While the journey is never linear, Callie guides her clients to help them better understand how to work with their body and become their own best advocates for more energy, optimal hormonal and metabolic health, and body confidence. Callie has served on the board of GYNDA and has been featured in Huffington Post, USNews, TheThirty, Insider, Healthline, Elite Daily and the Hormonally Yours Podcast. Dr. Elizabeth Garner, MD, MPH
Chief Scientific Officer, U.S., Ferring Pharmaceuticals
Elizabeth has nearly 30 years of experience in medicine and industry. Prior to joining Ferring in 2022, she held chief medical officer roles for ObsEva, a biotechnology company focused on women’s health, and Agile Therapeutics, a women’s healthcare company. Earlier, she held leadership roles in medical affairs at Myriad Genetics Laboratories and clinical development at Abbott Laboratories and Merck Research Laboratories.
Elizabeth holds a medical degree from Harvard Medical School and has practiced in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, and internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition, she holds a master’s degree in public health from Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.
