At HerMD we assess all patients for their risk of cancer through both routine screening and early cancer detection testing. We also work with survivorship patients who experience sexual dysfunction or who may be thrown into overnight menopause.

  • Breast exams

    Breast exams are recommended every 1-3 years for ages 25-39 and every year starting at age 40 according to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

  • Evaluation of breast masses

    Your HerMD provider will perform a physical exam to evaluate a breast lump. To determine whether that lump is benign, we may order a mammogram and breast ultrasound.

  • Refer and order for mammograms or breast MRI

    Mammograms are recommended once you turn 40. If we do find a lump during a breast exam, we may also refer for an MRI.

  • Refer to breast surgeon for biopsy

    If exams or imaging tests show you might have breast cancer, your provider may refer you for a breast biopsy to help confirm.

    We have a robust network of oncologists who specialize in treating breast and gynecological cancers.
