Minimally Invasive Surgery Offered at HerMD:
Dilation & Curettage (D&C):
Performed to evaluate abnormal uterine bleeding.
Ablation:
A procedure to treat heavy bleeding.
Colposcopy:
Used to find cancerous or abnormal cells in the cervix, vagina, or vulva. This also allows for a provider to check for other health conditions such as genital warts, noncancerous growths, or abnormal anatomy.
CO2RE Intima:
A laser treatment for urinary incontinence, genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), lichen sclerosus & sexual pain.
Endometrial Biopsy:
We take a tissue sample of the lining of the uterus which undergoes a histologic evaluation to help determine the cause of a woman’s heavy or irregular bleeding
Hysteroscopy:
Performed to diagnose and treat causes of abnormal bleeding.
LEEP:
A procedure to remove precancerous tissue of the cervix.
Polypectomy:
A procedure to remove polyps from the uterus.
Myomectomy:
Removes fibroids from the innermost lining of the uterus.
Sonata:
An incision-free solution, clinically proven to reduce fibroid symptoms. The fibroids are treated from inside the uterus, so there are no incisions (which means no scarring), no tissue needs to be cut or surgically removed – and the uterus is preserved.
Vaginal Botox:
One of few offices in the country that injects botox for vaginismus, persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD), vestibulodynia & migraines.
Vulvar Biopsy:
An external biopsy to obtain a tissue sample for diagnostic purposes.
Aviva:
A minimally invasive procedure to restore the function and appearance of the vulva (a nonexcisional alternative to labiaplasty).
