The Morepheus8 (M8) is a cutting-edge fractional skin treatment tool that stimulates collagen production of the underlying layers of the skin resulting in improved skin complexion for a more radiant and youthful appearance.

How does it work?

The M8 device combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the deep layers of the skin in a controlled manner, which revitalizes the collagen in targetted areas. In other words, the microscopic needles used to penetrate the skin cause micro-injuries to the skin and in return, this allows for new skin cells, elastin, and collagen to be produced. The M8 treatment is minimally invasive, non-surgical, and safe.

Can it be combined with any other service?

Yes, at HerMD we offer the option to add Platelet Rich Plasma treatment (PRP) onto your M8 face service for optimal results. We can additionally offer the M8 treatment on any areas with lax skin, for example, the chest, neck, and abdomen.

What can the Morpheus8 treat?

Popular M8 treatment areas include the face, chest, neck, arms, knees, and bellies (stretchmarks). It can improve the appearance of:

Mild sagging, jowling, and excessive fat in the face and neck

Uneven or rough skin texture

Acne Scarring and other scars on the face or body

Deep lines and creases

Enlarged pores

Stretch Marks

Can I do microneedling on my face at home and see the same results?

At-home microneedling pens and rollers have been popularized by beauty influences across the web. While they may seem pretty harmless,  they can actually cause pores to get much larger and wrinkles to become more prominent due to the needle size and dragging motion. Our recommendation, leave it to the professionals. They have the experience and training to get you the skincare results you want.

What are your pre-care recommendations?

It is important to have nothing on the skin before treatment. Please come without makeup or heavy skincare products. Our team will use acetone to remove excess oil and compound numbing cream on the skin areas to be treated prior to appointment. It takes approximately 35-45 minutes for the skin to be properly numbed before the treatment can begin.

What are your post-care recommendations?

Let your skin heal! You can expect some redness and flakiness to the areas treated. We recommend using a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to minimize side effects in addition to avoiding sun exposure for 7-12 hours after treatment.
