Say goodbye to: unwanted hair, shaving, waxing, and plucking.

If you want to remove unwanted facial or body hair, fall is a great time to consider laser hair reduction. Why? Most patients will require a series of treatment sessions spaced a few weeks apart to achieve their desired results. Limiting sun exposure during this period is essential – making the cooler months an optimal time to begin treatment.

How does it work?

During the treatment, our laser emits a highly concentrated laser pulse (seen as bright flashes of light) targeting the melanin in the hair follicles. The pigment absorbs the energy or heat from the light emitted, destroying the hair at the root and restricting future hair growth.

Most patients will see a permanent hair reduction of anywhere between 50-90%. This process typically takes between 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the area treated.

Who can receive this treatment?

This service is a great option for patients who want a long-term solution to unwanted facial and body hair. Patients affected by Hirtuism as a result of PCOS or other conditions may find LHR a more effective, convenient option than traditional hair removal methods.

We recommend scheduling a consultation to assess the treatment area to ensure you’re a good candidate for this service.

Say goodbye to:  redness, age spots, sun spots, wrinkles, and broken capillaries

Similar to laser hair reduction, Fall is a great time to consider our other laser treatments at HerMD as we recommend limiting sun exposure for optimal results. These treatments are minimally invasive and will leave your skin looking younger,  and feeling softer.

Our Nordlys laser can do it all! At HerMD, we offer: IPL, YAG, and FRAX treatments!

IPL photorejuvenation procedure reduces diffused redness, rosacea, flushing, blushing, redness, and spots by producing new collagen.

YAG helps to reduce or eliminate the veins around the temporal region, legs, feet, and any other areas of the body where spider veins may appear; our laser can treat spider veins on the legs, body face, treat broken capillaries, diffuse redness, hemangiomas, and cherry angiomas.

Nordlys Frax creates small, controlled heat damage, surrounded by healthy normal skin. When the body repairs this controlled damage, collagen in the whole of the treated area is replaced, reducing those fine lines, and leaving the skin fresher.
